Baskonia and Valencia started the new ACB League season grabbing wins against Unicaja and Real Betis, respectively.

Cazoo Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz started their new ACB League season on a high note by defeating Unicaja Malaga, 103-89 (22-35, 37-12, 25-13, 19-29).

Baskonia's newbies were leading the show. Former NBAer Markus Howard was super efficient, scoring 15 points (4/4 2PT, 2/5 3PT, 1/1 FT) in just 8 playing minutes.

Darius Thompson had 20 points (5/7 2PT, 3/5 3PT, 1/1 FT), 3 rebounds, 5 assists, and 24 PIR.
