The Los Angeles Clippers point guard John Wall will debut for his new team on Monday in a preseason game against the Portland Trail Blazers, per Law Murray of The Athletic report.

The last time that Wall played in an NBA game was more than a year ago. In April of 2021 Wall scored 27 points for the Rockets against his new team the Clippers, it was the last time the 5-time NBA All-Star has played.

Wall has missed the team's first preseason game against an Israeli club Maccabi Ra’anana which the Clippers won without trouble (121-81) even with sitting most of its leaders. Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Reggie Jackson, Norman Powell, and Nicolas Batum sat out the game.

It was earlier reported that just like Wall, Leonard will also make his return on Monday after missing the entire 2021-22 season.

In the 2020-21 season, Wall has averaged 20.6 points, 6.9 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game in 40 showings with the Houston Rockets.

The 32-year-old player signed a two-year, $13.2 million deal with the Clippers this past summer.
