Greek journalist Sotirios Vetakis from SDNA.gr reveals that a group of businessmen from the Middle East country want to enter the EuroLeague with a team and hope to receive a wild card at some time in the near future.

According to Vetakis, the sheikhs also propose an idea to hold the EuroLeague Final Four in the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai for three consecutive years. One of the people involved is the owner of a chain of luxury hotels. As a result, the promise is guaranteed hospitality at a luxury level, Vetakis reports.

The journalist states that the investor group has already visited the last Final Four in May in Berlin as well as several other destinations in hopes of acquiring business relationships and contacts in European basketball.

An offer has been reportedly sent to the current 13 EuroLeague shareholders and the league's management to hold a meeting in Dubai in October, which has been reportedly accepted.

According to SDNA, several EuroLeague clubs are already keen on agreeing with the proposal.
