EA7 Emporio Armani Milan (1-0) went on an 11-0 run to start the fourth quarter and overcame a resilient effort from Germani Brescia (0-1) to win 78-77 (22-21, 14-15, 11-22, 31-19).

Both teams battled neck-and-neck throughout the entire first half with neither of the clubs leading by any significant margin. Olimpia led by a single point in the middle of the third quarter (43-42) when Brescia went on an 11-0 run to build a 10-point lead (53-43).

The underdogs finished the third quarter better and went into the final 10 minutes having an 11-point lead (58-47).

After making just one three-pointer in the first three quarters, Milan heated up from beyond the arc in the fourth quarter. Kevin Pangos, Johannes Voigtmann, and Nicolo Melli all hit consecutive triples to tie the game (58-58).

Milan caught the momentum and did not let it go. Voigtmann hit another three-pointer with two minutes to go in the match, pushing the lead to eight (77-69). When it seemed like Brescia would not be able to battle back, they scored 8 points to just one from their opponents, and the teams were separated by just a single point (78-77) with three seconds to go and Brescia with the ball.

John Petrucelli had a wide-open three-pointer but missed it in the last seconds, and Milan celebrated a hard-fought win.

Only two players scored in double digits for Armani with Nicolo Melli leading the way with 14 points and 9 rebounds in his account. Devon Hall added 13 on 4-for-8 shooting.

Brescia's John Petrucelli was the top scorer of the game with 19 points.

Milan: Nicolo Melli 14 (2/5 2PT, 3/5 3PT, 9 REB), Devon Hall 13 (4/7 2PT).

Brescia: John Petrucelli 19 (5/8 2PT, 2/4 3PT), Troy Caupain 15 (4/8 2PT, 1/6 3PT, 5 REB), Amedeo Della Valle 13 (7/7 FT).
