Markus Howard exits the game against Olympiacos with an injury

Markus Howard had to leave the game with an injury with 22 seconds left in the game after colliding with Moustapha Fall while fighting for a rebound.

Cazoo Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz (3-1) suffered their first defeat in the EuroLeague this season against Olympiacos Piraeus (4-0) 92-97 (16-32, 31-10, 27-23, 18-32) today. However, the Spanish club's fans received more upsetting news during the match.

Baskonia's star guard Markus Howard had to leave the game with an injury with 22 seconds left in the game.

Howard battled for the rebound with Moustapha Fall after a missed rebound, and the big Olympiacos center landed on the much smaller Baskonia guard during the episode.

The 1.78-meter guard was left laying on the floor grabbing his knee. Howard left the game assisted by the medical staff of the home team not being able to put his foot on the ground to walk.

Howard scored 11 points in the match but made just 4 shots out of 12 and just one three-pointer in seven tries.

Sasha Vezenkov led Olympiacos with 26 points and 7 rebounds. Kostas Sloukas added 20 points and 6 assists.
