In a very competitive game, Nicolas Laprovittola led FC Barcelona (4-1) to a tough 67-65 (10-12, 17-13, 21-17, 19-23) win over previously unbeaten Lenovo Tenerife (4-1).

The contest was characterized by low scoring and many offensive turnovers. Laprovittola scored 25 points overall and 10 in the last quarter to propel Barca to victory at the Palau Blaugrana.

The Argentine guard beat Sasu Salin (22 points, 6/10 3-PTS) in their scoring duel. Elgin Cook added 16 points for the losing side, who also came in second in the rebounding battle.

Barca dominated the boards by 44-35, and although Alex Abrines (in addition to already injured Nikola Mirotic, Kyle Kuric and Sergi Martinez) was left out of the squad for precautionary reasons, Barca filled their lineup with James Nnaji, Michael Caicedo and Rafa Villar.

A triple by Oriol Pauli, who tallied 8 points, consolidated the advantage of the Catalan team (57-43) with six minutes left to play. Rokas Jokubaitis produced another 9 points for the Catalans, while former Barca point guard and current BCL assist-leader Marcelinho Huertas was held down to only 2 points (1/7 FG) and 6 dimes.
