The Greek league Round 3 game between Peristeri and AEK Athens at the "Andreas Papandreou" gym in Athens' western suburbs was temporarily interrupted due to incidents.

With AEK leading 20-13 and some seconds left to play in the first quarter,  hooligans wearing hoods entered the stadium and attacked people sitting between the media tribune and the VIP seats.

On the eve of the game, Peristeri had announced that tickets would only be purchased outside the installation, while the presence of AEK fans was to expected despite police forces declaring their inability to vouch for the everyone's safety.

Elias Koromilas warned that in case incidents should break out again, the stands will be evacuated without further notice.

AEK are unbeaten (2-0) so far in the Greek League, while Vasilis Spanoulis' Peristeri squad stand at 1-1.
