Following Joffrey Lauvergne's serious injury, ASVEL are looking at their options in the free-agency market. Alex Tyus seems to be the French side's chosen one.
LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne are in advanced negotiations with veteran Alex Tyus to replace Joffrey Lauvergne, Arale Weisberg of Walla Sport reports.
The French side recently lost one of its two pivots, Joffrey Lauvergne, who tore his ACL and is expected to miss at least six months of action. 34-year-old Tyus could replace him, as -per the same report- he's in advanced negotiations with the reigning three-time French champion.
The native of Saint-Louis (Missouri) has a very fine CV After his studies at Florida (NCAA), where he took over from Joakim Noah under the orders of Billy Donovan, Alex Tyus started his career in his adopted country, Israel, with Maccabi Ashdod.
