The Portland Trail Blazers came in undefeated into the matchup with Miami Heat last night. However, the team's leader Damian Lillard had to leave the game in the third quarter, and the Heat capitalized, capturing a win.

In the middle of the third quarter, Lillard attempted a three-pointer. After landing on the ground, the guard felt something in his right calf but continued to play. Several moments later, the star of the team committed a turnover while visibly being bothered by the pain.

Lillard exited the game following the episode. The team later announced that the guard would not return to the match due to a right calf strain.

In 26 minutes of game time, Lillard had 22 points in his account on 6-for-13 shooting.

Since his return from injury this year, Lillard has been averaging 31 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game for the Trail Blazers.
