Valencia Basket point guard Sam Van Rossom has started his reinstatement to the group this week, after spending two weeks without competing due to discomfort in his right knee.

According to the Spanish News Agency (EFE), the Belgian player could return to action this Thursday in the game against Virtus Bologna.

The Belgian point guard was a last-minute absence from the match that Alex Mumbru's team played against FC Barcelona on October 30 and has missed four games so far.

Van Rossom has undergone surgery on his left knee twice and when discomfort appeared on his right foot, the player and the medical team decided that he should stop until these problems subsided.

The 36-year-old has already participated in some practice sessions this week, although not yet at the same pace as his teammates, but if he keeps making progress, he will travel to Italy this Wednesday and could play a few minutes.

The same goes for Jasiel Rivero, who was already on the bench in the clash against Monaco last Friday, but did not play due to a muscle injury.

On the other hand, forward Millan Jimenez is once again out indefinitely due to discomfort in his left ankle and which already made him miss the start of the season, the club reported on Tuesday.

In its statement, the entity explains that the 20-year-old player "will miss the team's next games to reassess the residual discomfort in his left ankle that he has been carrying since the summer" and indicates that these pains have not completely disappeared.

The club points out that once his situation is reassessed and the chosen option will update the situation of the player who has not yet made his debut in the ACB League, while checking in at one EuroLeague game this season.

The loss of Millan Jimenez joins that of Martin Hermannsson, who is expected at the beginning of 2023.
