However, Olympiacos assistant coach Giorgos Bozikas cleared all the uncertainty.
"Nothing happened, there was a misunderstanding," Bozikas told Novasports. "Bartzokas spoke to the referee while Trinchieri thought he was talking to him. Then, Bartzokas explained to Trinchieri that his protest wasn't about him."
Both coaches talked intensively for a couple of minutes as Bayern's sporting director Daniele Baiesi stepped in and cooled down the emotions between the tacticians.
Olympiacos won the game 82-71 and claimed their sixth win of the EuroLeague season.
