Dominant Efes hand Milan one of the biggest defeat in club's history

Olimpia Milan didn't stand a chance against Anadolu Efes, suffering a fourth loss in a row and one of the biggest defeats in club's history.

EA7 Emporio Armani Milan's (3-6) loss streak continues, as the Italian champions suffered a fourth straight defeat in the EuroLeague.

Olimpia Milano hosted the back-to-back champions Anadolu Efes Istanbul (4-5) and didn't stand a chance as they lost the game 51-80 (18-18, 16-16, 7-21, 10-25).

A 29-point loss is a fourth-biggest defeat in Milan's history. Also, it was one of the lowest-scoring games for the Italian team.

Only on two occasions Olimpia scored less – 44 points vs. UNICS in the 2012-13 season and 48 points vs. Efes in the 2021-22 playoffs.

The game was tied at halftime (34-34), but then Efes began their show. Led by Will Clyburn and Vasilije Micic, the visitors opened the third quarter with a 15-2 run and built a 13-point lead (49-36).

Efes made the final punch at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Clyburn made two 3-pointers in a row and put the game to bed by increasing Efes lead to 21-point (62-41).

At the end of the game, Efes had a 32-point lead (80-48).

Clyburn stole the show by accumulating 24 points (6/10 2PT, 4/6 3PT), 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 4 drawn fouls, 1 turnover, and 29 PIR.

Efes made 15 2-pointers out of 27 attempts (56%) and 14 out of 25 3-pointers (56%). Meanwhile, Milan made only 16% of their 3-pointers (16%). The hosts also attempted their first free throws at the very end of the game.
