The Los Angeles Lakers are waiving wing shooter Matt Ryan, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Ryan impressed in his stint with L.A., shooting 38.2 percent from three-point one, including a clutch shot in the win over the New Orleans Pelicans in November.

Per the report, the move opens up a roster spot for the Lakers ahead of Dec. 15 trade date.

The Lakers have an 8-12 record and sit in 13th place in the Western Conference.
