John Brown is out for 7-10 days with bruised ribs.
Although AS Monaco big man John Brown was carried off the court on stretchers in yesterday's EuroLeague game, Roca Team fans can breathe easier.
According to Gabriel Pantel-Jouve of Be Basket, Brown avoided a serious injury and he will miss 7-10 days of basketball action.
He was diagnosed with bruised ribs (contusion) following the medical exams but evaded any fracture, and his lungs were not damaged.
Shortly after Be Basket's report, Monaco officially confirmed the information.
The 30-year-old Brown is set to miss domestic league games against Ada Blois (December 4) and ASVEL (December 6) and the next EuroLeague duel over Real Madrid (December 8).
It remains unclear whether he will be back to deal with Victor Wembanyama and Metropolitans 92 on December 11.
With just under a minute to go in Thursday's EuroLeague game against ASVEL, John Brown suffered an injury that had the player carted off by the arena's medical staff.
Villeurbanne's Amine Noua was attempting a layup with Brown defending in the paint when the French forward forcefully contacted the Monaco player, hitting him with the right elbow into his ribs.
Brown immediately collapsed to the floor and was seen suffering serious pain.
Several seconds later, the game was stopped to help the player. Brown wasn't able to get up by his own power and had to be attended to and then carted off by the arena's medical staff.
