Milos Teodosic will play with Virtus Bologna in Piraeus vs. Olympiacos, as his two-game suspension has been reduced.
The EuroLeague judge accepted the appeal of Virtus Segafredo Bologna for the two-game sanction imposed on Milos Teodosic and thus, the Serbian guard will play against Olympiacos Piraeus next Friday night (20:00 CET).
The Serbian guard was sent off in the game against Efes after he was called an unsportsmanlike foul by the referees. The camera caught the Serb cursing the referees and approaching them. This led to his being ejected.
The initial sanction imposed on him by the EuroLeague was for two games, but Virtus used the right of appeal and now Teodosic is set to face his former team after missing out on the game vs. Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade last week.
Virtus Segafredo Bologna / Schedule
"The Appeals Judge of Euroleague Basketball has partially upheld the appeal submitted by Virtus Segafredo Bologna and Milos Teodosic.
As a consequence, the sanction of 30 November 2022 by the Disciplinary Judge, imposing the disqualification for two games of Milos Teodosic, is substituted by a disqualification of one game and a fine of €15,000," the press release reads.
Teodosic is averaging 8.6 points, 4.3 assists, 1.6 rebounds, 0.6 steals per EuroLeague contest. The team coached by Sergio Scariolo currently sits at 4-7, a couple of wins outside the playoff zone, while standing atop of the Serie A with an impeccable 9-0 balance.
