Dallas Mavericks forward Maxi Kleber suffered a tear of his right hamstring at practice on Tuesday, December 13, via the official club's report.
"At this time, there is no timetable for Kleber's return and updates will be given when appropriate," the further report reads.
Shams Charania of The Athletic writes that the player will miss six-to-eight weeks of basketball action.
Kleber, 30, averages 6.2 points and 3.5 rebounds in 22 games this season but he is a crucial part of the Mavs' defensive schemes.
He arrived in Dallas in 2017 after previous stints with Bayern Munich, Obradoiro, and Wurzburg.
Maxi Kleber has averaged 7.0 points and 4.7 rebounds over 348 NBA games (136 starts), all with Dallas.
