Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis exited Friday's game against the Denver Nuggets and was later ruled out with a right foot injury, the team announced.

According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, Davis is experiencing discomfort in his right foot but there is hope he did not suffer anything severe. Davis will likely undergo an MRI for further evaluation.

Davis scored 10 points in 17 minutes prior to leaving the match early.

He averages 28.1 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists over 24 games this season.

Davis is in his fourth season with the Lakers after spending seven years in New Orleans.

Anthony Davis, 29, became an NBA champion in 2020.
