Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade head coach Dusko Ivanovic says that the team's ambitions do not change, even though Facundo Campazzo won't be available in EuroLeague until March.

"If we could have registered Facundo, it would have been much easier for us," Ivanovic said before the upcoming game vs. Valencia. "It will be significantly more difficult for us this way, but the other guys will have to give even more. There is no other way."

Campazzo will not be the only absentee in Friday's game. Crvena Zvezda will be without Luca Vildoza, Hassan Martin, and Nikola Ivanovic.

"We will play with fewer players in that position, but our ambitions do not change," claimed Ivanovic. "We are playing against a team that is really outstanding offensively. For many years, they have had a tradition of signing players with outstanding offensive talent. Even 3 and 4 position players can shoot for threes."

"They have a lot of space to play one-on-one, and you have to play defense against a team like that. We play it, but against a team like this, we have to do even better," added Crvena Zvezda head coach.

D. Ivanovic also provided injury updates on Vildoza and N. Ivanovic. The situation with the Argentinian guard is more delicate, there's some optimism regarding N. Ivanovic.

"We'll see. With a muscle injury, everything depends on the individual," Ivanovic said about Vildoza. "You can't know exactly. It can go faster or slower, and we hope it will be faster than predicted."

"Ivanovic would play even with broken ribs, but we said he can't. We hope he will come very soon, but with such injuries, there is a specific time for the bone to heal, and we will not risk it. When that period passes, he will be there," concluded Crvena Zvezda head coach.

Vildoza averages 14.0 points, 2.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 13.7 PIR in 13 EuroLeague games.

Meanwhile, Ivanovic produces 6.3 points, 1.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 7.8 PIR per game.

Crvena Zvezda will play Valencia on Friday at 20:30 CET.
