Vladimir Stimac reportedly expected to land in Turkey

Serbian veteran Vladimir Stimac is close to returning to Turkey, where he has already played for Olin Edirne, Banvit, Besiktas, Anadolu Efes, Turk Telekom, Fenerbahce, and Bahcesehir.

According to Nikola Miloradovic of Mozzart Sport, the 35-year-old Stimac is expected to join Sigortam Istanbul, the Turkish team, which competes in the second division.

Stimac would be one of the most experienced players in a team that has serious ambitions to earn a promotion to the top-tier Turkish league this season.

Stimac started the 2022-23 campaign in China.

Sigortam would be his nineteenth team in his career. Stimac played 7 seasons in the EuroLeague with Zalgiris, Unicaja, Bayern, Crvena Zvezda, Anadolu Efes, and Fenerbahce.

He holds EuroLeague career averages of 8.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 10.7 PIR in 111 games.

Vladimir Stimac is a former Serbian NT member, who has three silver medals from World Cup 2014, Rio Olympics, and EuroBasket 2017.
