Panathinaikos Athens center Arturas Gudaitis had an excellent game on Friday night vs. Valencia Basket, but his performance was overshadowed by the injury and the Chris Jones' buzzer-beater that gifted the Spanish team a win at OAKA Arena.

Gudaitis suffered a rupture of the extensor tendon in his left hand's little finger, the first medical tests show.

The Lithuanian big man will undergo X-rays on Saturday to determine the exact extent of the injury and the length of his absence.

Gudaitis sustained the injury with 22.8 seconds remaining until the end of the Round 24 thriller. Klemen Prepelic was driving to the basket, lost the ball control, tried to get it back, and collided with Gudaitis in the air.

PAO center fell awkwardly on the floor, while Prepelic received an offensive foul. Gudaitis' finger was apparently dislocated on the play which also forced him to leave the court.

The 29-year-old player posted a season-best performance with 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 32 PIR in 29 playing minutes before exiting the game with a setback.

Valencia ended up winning 92-91. The Greens dropped to 8-16 after yet another tough loss, their third in a row.

Georgios Papagiannis, Nate Walters, and Mateusz Ponitka were absent on Friday night.

Panathinaikos are scheduled to play the Greek Cup mini-tournament in Crete next week.
