Anthony Edwards was helped off the court after suffering an ankle injury. Coach Chris Finch said Edwards was in a protective boot, and that is a good sign.
Minnesota star Anthony Edwards had to be helped back to the locker room after rolling his ankle while making a jump pass with four minutes to go in the first quarter of the Bulls-Timberwolves game on Friday.
Edwards was down in serious pain, as his scream was heard loudly.
The 21-year-old guard was back on the Timberwolves' bench in the fourth quarter with a walking boot on his right foot.
Head coach Chris Finch didn't have any further update on his status.
"We'll see how it feels tomorrow," Finch said.
Edwards had 8 points before leaving the game early. The T-Wolves ended up losing in Chicago after double overtime 139-131.
"He hasn't missed a game all year, so you know he's not making shit up," Rudy Gobert said about Edwards' injury, via Dane Moore. "He's really hurt. I don't know how bad it is, but I hope we can get him back really soon."
'Ant-Man' averages 25.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists over 70 games this season.
