Jaylen Brown cut his right hand while picking up a glass vase he accidentally knocked over while watering his plants. He received five stitches but expected to be back before the NBA playoffs started.

Boston Celtics All-Star forward Jaylen Brown cut his right hand picking up a glass vase he knocked over while watering his plants and got 5 stitches before Friday's 121-102 win over the Toronto Raptors, according to Jared Weiss of The Athletic.

"Picked it [the vase], set it on the ground, realized you probably shouldn't set glass on the ground," Brown said. "Reached down and picked it back up, and it got me."

Brown also said that he's expected to be ready for NBA the playoffs, but he's pissed about an unfortunate injury.

His hand was wrapped in bandages as he spoke with reporters at TD Garden ahead of Friday's game.

Boston (56-25), which is locked into the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs, hosts Atlanta on Sunday in its regular-season finale.
