Micic's agent Misko Raznatovic announced that the injury his client suffered is not serious and he should be back on the basketball court in 7-10 days.
Anadolu Efes Istanbul's star guard Vasilije Micic suffered an injury in the derby against Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul in the Turkish League (BSL) on Tuesday and was forced to leave the game early.
The Serbian superstar guard could only leave the court on a special stretcher. However, the injury is not as bad as it initially seemed.
Micic's agent Misko Raznatovic has announced that his client should be back on the court in 7-10 days.
After recovering the ball after a missed shot, Efes were pushing for a fast break. Micic had the ball and drove to the basket after a screen. Moments later, he collided with Fenerbahce's Metecan Birsen. It appeared that that collision was in the knee area.
Both players immediately collapsed to the ground. Several minutes later, Birsen was helped off the court by his teammates and the medical staff.
At that point, Micic had scored 12 points for 12 PIR. Efes went on to win the game 96:91.
