Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic was expected to be in attendance for the EuroLeague Final Four title game in Kaunas, but in the end, most likely, he won't be able to make the trip, sources tell BasketNews.

According to sources, the former Real Madrid star has been planning to arrive on the day of the final to show support for his ex-teammates in their battle against Olympiacos Piraeus.

EuroLeague was also preparing to host the biggest EuroLeague ambassador in the NBA.

However, Doncic finally couldn't make the trip to Kaunas.

The last time he wore the Real jersey in 2018, Doncic played a pivotal role in the EuroLeague final victory in Belgrade and was crowned the Final Four MVP.

Doncic celebrated the championship title with Rudy Fernandez, Sergio Llull, Edy Tavares, Anthony Randolph, and Fabien Causeur, who are now aiming to bring the club back to the top of the EuroLeague.

The final clash between Real Madrid and Olympiacos is scheduled to take place at the Zalgirio Arena on Sunday at 19:00 (CET).
