Naz Mitrou-Long is expected to join Zalgiris Kaunas after the 2022-23 season with Olimpia Milan.

Naz Mitrou-Long and Zalgiris Kaunas are closing on an agreement, according to BasketNews sources.

Both sides are in advanced negotiations, and there is a huge belief that the deal will be finalized soon, according to BasketNews sources.

Currently, Mitrou-Long plays for EA7 Emporio Armani Milan in his second season in Europe.

The 29-year-old guard averaged 7.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 4.8 PIR per game over 21 appearances in the 2022-23 EuroLeague season for Milan.

Mitrou-Long had his best game of the season against Zalgiris after finishing the game with 19 points (3/5 2PT, 3/5 3PT, 4/4 FT), 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 turnover, and 16 PIR in a 62-71 loss.

In the Italian League, Mitrou-Long averages 7.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game in 14 appearances.

Mitrou-Long had a break-out season with Brescia when he averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game in 29 contests in the Italian League during the 2021-22 campaign.

Before his move to Europe, Mitrou-Long spent three seasons in the NBA, playing for the Utah Jazz and Indiana Pacers.

He made 20 appearances in total, averaging 1.7 points, 0.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists.
