In a surprise move, AEK Athens agreed to terms with Juan Pablo Vaulet. The 25-year-old Argentinian forward (1.98 m.) was selected with the 39th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets but never played in the NBA.

In the last two years, he played in Manresa averaging 7,8 points (57,6% on two-pointers, 30,4% on three-pointers, 66,1% on free-throws), 4 rebounds, 0,9 assists, 0,7 steals, and 0,4 blocks in 22 minutes on average, over 36 appearances in the Liga Endesa. Vaulet has been called up to Argentina's preselection team ahead of the Olympics. In 2015 he competed at the World Cup U19 in Heraklion, Crete.

The news was first reported by Chema De Lucas and Eurohoops.
