KC Rivers will not play in Russia's second-largest city, as Zenit St Petersburg posted a "thank you" message on their website.
Rivers averaged 6.1 points and 2.5 rebounds in 37 EuroLeague games, helping Zenit reach the playoffs for the first time in the club's history. He posted 8.3 points and 2.5 rebounds in the VTB League. Zenit won first place in the regular season.
Prior to Zenit, Rivers played with such teams as Khimki Moscow, FC Bayern Munich, Panathinaikos Athens, Crvena Zvezda, and Real Madrid with which he won the EuroLeague title in 2015.
