Lenovo Tenerife officially announced a contract extension with the Uruguayan/Italian player. Fitipaldo already had a deal for the next season, but the extension will add two more years and will keep him in Spain until the end of the 2023-24 season.
The point guard averaged 8.4 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in 13 Basketball Champions League games last season.
Throughout his European club basketball career, the 29-year-old (1.84) has been a member of Orlandina Basket (Italy), Galatasaray S.K. (Turkey), S.S. Felice Scandone (Italy), and San Pablo Burgos (Spain).
Fitipaldo is also a member of the Uruguayan national basketball team. He represented his nation in the FIBA Men's Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Victoria, Canada. Bruno Fitipaldo was one of the team's leaders, averaging 13.5 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists, and 1.5 steals per 2 contests in 29 minutes of game time.
Earlier this month Lenovo Tenerife also extended the contract with another current player - Sasu Salin.
