Zenit St Petersburg strengthened their backcourt with the local talent Andrey Toptunov.
According to the press release, 19-year-old Toptunov signed a three-year deal with the Russian club.
"Zenit is a team with great ambitions, an excellent selection of players, and a strong coach. Not every player is given that chance, especially at my age," the youngster said in the press release. "Thanks to the management of the club and the coaching staff for their trust."
1.84 m Toptunov arrives from Burevestnik Yaroslav, where he averaged 11.5 points and 3.5 assists in 24 Russian League games last season. He scored 35 points against Ufimets Ufa, becoming the youngest player to reach that scoring mark in the Russian League history.
