Two-time EuroLeague champion with Real Madrid, Gustavo Ayon, has signed with the Capitanes de Arecibo - a team in Puerto Rico.
Not only that, he has already made his debut with the new squad, as they beat the Cariduros Fajardo 93-86. Ayon played for 16 minutes, finishing with 4 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 3 turnovers.
The Mexican center played last season in his home country, Mexico. Before departing for South America, Ayon spent one season with Zenit St. Petersburg and represented Real Madrid for five years.
Prior to that, the 36-year-old was a member of four NBA franchises during his three-year stint in the league.
