Zenit Saint Petersburg got off on the right foot in the VTB United League, scoring a convincing victory by 75-60 (20-11, 14-18, 20-15, 21-16) against Kalev Cramo from Estonia.

Arturas Gudaitis was one of the leaders for Xavi Pascual's squad, scoring 11 points, grabbing 7 rebounds and blocking one shot. However, it was Jordan Mickey who stole the show, producing a powerful double-double with 27 points, 10 rebounds and 34 in PIR. Andrei Zubkov added 10, Billy Baron 8 and Mindaugas Kuzminskas 7 points for the winners.

Shabazz Napier remains sidelined, while Conner Frankamp made his VTB debut playing only two minutes. The former guard of UCAM Murcia started the game but was carried off the court due to an apparent ankle sprain.

JeQuan Lewis scored 15 points and dished 7 assists for the losing side.

Zenit will open the new EuroLeague season away, but they will not have to leave Russia, since they're playing UNICS Kazan. Kalev will host Saratov on October 4.
