Joel Bolomboy has left CSKA Moscow for reasons related to Russia's war on Ukraine, the Russian club announced.

Following the departure of Tornike Sengelia, Iffe Lundberg, Johannes Voigtmann and Marius Grigonis, Ukrainian-born (also holding the African origin) and Russian international big man Joel Bolomboy is off the country.

"Joel Bolomboy has left the club, for family and personal reasons related to the current situation between Russia and Ukraine, as well as its possible consequences," the Army club stated in the post.

His contract is still valid, but it is almost certain that more players and maybe members of CSKA's coaching staff will follow suit in the next hours or days.
