Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar and Greg Whittington agreed to terminate the contract by mutual consent, according to the official club's report.
The 29-year-old arrived in Russia on June 30, 2021. He averaged 5.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.4 PIR over five 7DAYS EuroCup games this season.
Before the stint with Loko, Whittington competed in the USA (Sioux Falls Skyforce, Denver Nuggets), Australia (Sydney Kings), Japan (Levanga Hokkaido), Israel (Hapoel Gilboa Galil), and Turkey (Galatasaray S.K.).
Last season he appeared in 4 NBA duels with Denver. In total, Whittington competed for 12 minutes and did not score.
Prior to Greg Whittington's departure, Alan Williams and Stanton Kidd left Lokomotiv.
