El Clasico didn't disappoint once again and provided us with a beautiful game. In the end, Barcelona (22-5) prevailed over Real Madrid (19-8) after overtime. The final score was 108-97 (27-23, 24-23, 20-19, 18-24, 19-8).
Nigel Hayes-Davis was the decision-maker in the overtime. The forward scored 9 points in the extra time with two very important three-pointers that gave Barcelona the necessary offensive boost to distance themselves from Real Madrid and in the end secure the win.
Sergio Llull scored two free throws to give Real Madrid a one-point lead (89-88) with 55 seconds remaining. With only one second left in the game, though, Sertac Sanli was fouled in a rebounding situation and went to the line to shoot two free throws. The Turkish big man made one of the two shots and sent the game to the overtime (89-89).
After a third quarter in which Barcelona maintained a small lead, in the final quarter the game became much tenser. Real Madrid took the lead of the game with 5 minutes left (82-80). Nikola Mirotic and Alberto Abalde were both ejected after starting a fight on the court and they continued to discuss also in the tunnel.
