The EuroLeague Players Association (ELPA) has released its first awards for the 2021-2022 season.

Anadolu Efes Istanbul's newcomer Will Clyburn racked the best 6th man award.

"A player that started more than half of EuroLeague regular-season games from the bench and had the biggest impact on his team’s overall play," says ELPA's announcement.

Meanwhile, his teammate Vasilije Micic became the winner in the 'Most Clutch Player' category.

"A player that best performed under pressure and when games were on the line," ELPA adds.

Indeed, the Serbian star made a buzzer-beater in the semifinal against Olympiacos, which eventually led Efes to a back-to-back trophy.

'Most Improved Player' award was given to FC Barcelona's point guard Nicolas Lapprovitola.

Luke Sikma of ALBA Berlin became the winner of the ELPA's 'Fair Play' award. According to the association, the award is being given to 'a player with exemplary behavior on the court, promoting the spirit of fair play and showing qualities such as fairness and respect'.

Further on, John Brown III of UNICS Kazan became the 'Best Newcomer'. Simply described as the 'best performing individual who played his first season in EuroLeague', Brown, the current member of the Germani Brescia team, was one of the most notable forwards in the league before the Russian teams were suspended following an invasion of Ukraine.

Last but not least, Kyle Hines of AX Armani Exchange Milan became the 'Most Respected Player'. Awarded to 'a player that earned most respect and embodied a true role model, on and off the court', Hines has been a veteran example to follow for many of the EuroLeague's players.
