Lorenzo Brown is confident that he and Ricky Rubio will mesh well together on the Spanish national team.
Maccabi Tel Aviv point guard Lorenzo Brown is locked in and ready to help Spain defend their title in the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
He recently met with head coach Sergio Scariolo and confirmed his commitment to the Spanish national team.
Brown responded emphatically when asked about his participation in the World Cup by BasketNews, "For sure, for sure."

He is expected to team up with Ricky Rubio, the MVP of the 2019 FIBA World Cup who missed last year's EuroBasket.
Brown is excited about the prospect of playing with Rubio once again, having previously played with him in Minnesota in the 2014-15 season.
"I don't think it will be a big deal," Brown replied to BasketNews when asked about his fit next to Rubio. "He's a pass-first type of guy, and I can do a little bit of both. I'm just excited to see what's in store for us this summer. And I'm ready to get to work."
Scariolo visited Brown during a double-round week with Virtus Bologna in Tel Aviv.
Brown and Scariolo go way back, with their relationship dating back to Brown's days in Toronto.
"He has created something for me that I couldn't even fathom. A lot of European teams had an eye on me, and nationwide, people got to see what I could do this summer. I got the chance to compete with a bunch of high-talented players, NBA and European guys. That opportunity helped me a lot and opened many doors for me. I'm just super thankful for that," Brown said.
The 32-year-old has been a key piece for Spain, averaging 15.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 7.6 assists per game in their unexpected gold medal run in the EuroBasket 2022.
With Brown and Rubio leading the way, Spain will be a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming tournament.
