Vincent Poirier is considered to be 99% ruled out for the upcoming EuroLeague Final Four.
Real Madrid will fight for the EuroLeague trophy without Vincent Poirier.
The French center will be 99% out during the Final Four weekend, head coach Chus Mateo announced during a press conference.
Poirier underwent appendicitis surgery in April and missed 3 weeks of action. He was rushed back for Game 2 against Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade and played in one Spanish ACB game against Casademont Zaragoza on April 30.
However, Poirier hasn't played since, and he's set to miss the EuroLeague Final Four as well.
Poirier played for 22 minutes against Partizan, finishing the game with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 5 personal fouls, and 15 PIR.
This season Poirier averages 6.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 8.2 PIR per game over 32 EuroLeague appearances.
In the Spanish ACB, he puts up 7.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 11.7 EFF per game.
EuroLeague Final Four will take place on May 19-21 in Kaunas. Real Madrid will face FC Barcelona in the semifinal.
