Leandro Bolmaro will be the first major addition for Bayern after hiring Pablo Laso.
Argentinian wing Leandro Bolmaro is committed to signing a two-year deal with German powerhouse FC Bayern Munich, multiple sources have told BasketNews.
Bolmaro returned to Europe later in the season after terminating his deal with the Utah Jazz. He joined Spanish club Lenovo Tenerife with a deal until the end of the season.
With Tenerife, Bolmaro averaged 5.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game in the ACB. Before signing with Tenerife, Bolmaro had talks about returning to Barcelona, but those conversations didn't end up in a deal.
Pablo Laso's arrival at Bayern will bring several new faces to the club, and Bolmaro will be the first piece of this new project.
Bolmaro was selected with the 23rd pick overall in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
But after arriving in the NBA, the former Barcelona player struggled to find a consistent role, and he ended up getting traded to the Utah Jazz as part of the massive Rudy Gobert deal.
Spanish media outlets Basket Aurinegro and Relevo first reported about Bolmaro being a target for Bayern Munich.
