John DiBartolomeo was on an expiring deal.
Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv have extended the contract with John DiBartolomeo for two more years, via the official announcement.
DiBartolomeo, who has served as team captain since 2017, is currently in his sixth season with the yellow-and-blue team.
"It's hard to express how happy I am to be continuing with Maccabi," DiBartolomeo said. "This club and this country have become my home, and I can't imagine being anywhere else. Six years ago, when I came to Maccabi, I never thought it would take me where I am now. It's all thanks to this club, its management, coaches, teammates, and of course, the fans, who have believed and supported me the entire time."
DiBartolomeo's contributions to Maccabi are undeniable, as he was one of only three players from the team who participated in all 39 EuroLeague games this past season.
With an outstanding free-throw percentage of 98.2%, he topped the competition in this category. Additionally, he maintained a solid three-point shooting accuracy of 41.7%, while averaging 6.2 points per game.
In the Israeli League, DiBartolomeo ranked fourth in plus/minus. He also averaged 8.2 points, 2.4 assists, and 1.0 steals per contest.
The 32-year-old guard initially joined Maccabi in 2017, having previously played for Maccabi Haifa, where he was crowned league MVP during the 2016-17 season.
DiBartolomeo has played a pivotal role in securing numerous domestic championships, lifting the Israeli League trophy five times, winning the Israeli Cup once, and claiming the Winner's Cup four times.
