Italian forward Achille Polonara is officially coming back to play in his home country.
Virtus Segafredo Bologna have announced that the 31-year-old has joined the organization on a two-year deal.
The news of the two sides was earlier reported by BasketNews' Donatas Urbonas.
Polonara began the 2022-23 season with the back-to-back EuroLeague champions, Anadolu Efes Istanbul, but made a mid-season move to Zalgiris Kaunas.
Over the course of 35 EuroLeague games, Polonara maintained an average of 3.9 points (37.9% 3P) and 3.4 rebounds in under 15 minutes of playing time.
In the LKL, the Italian big averaged 6.7 points (60% 2P, 31.7% 3P), 6.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 20 minutes of play.
