Kamagate joins Milan on a two-year deal.
Denver Nuggets' 46th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Ismael Kamagate, will continue his career in EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, the Italian powerhouse officially announced.
Both sides agreed on a two-year deal which runs through 2025.
"I am happy to join a historic club like Olimpia Milano. I look forward to getting to work, helping the team win, and getting to know my new fans," Kamagate said.
The 22-year-old center, who'd had a contract with Paris Basketball, parted ways with the French club using a buyout clause.
In 23 minutes per game in the 2022-23 EuroCup season, Kamagate averaged 9.2 points (76.3% 2FG, 80.4% FT), 8.4 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and 17.2 PIR.
Kamagate ranked 4th in the league in total rebounds, 3rd in offensive rebounds, 1st in blocks, and 11th in efficiency.
In the French championship, he averaged 9.9 points (74.3% 2FG), 7.5 rebounds (2.7 ORB), and 1.4 blocks in 23 minutes of play.
Denver franchise's plan for the young prospect is to play in the EuroLeague and then try his luck in the NBA, as described by the Nuggets assistant GM, Tomas Balcetis.
"He's a player that we really like," Balcetis told DNVR Nuggets. "He has great potential to become a modern big man in the NBA. He is excellent at finishing near the rim, he has gone 70% this season. He just needs more playing time, and I mean EuroLeague minutes.
"The G-League is good because you can follow the players closely, but the EuroLeague is the second-best level in the world. He will play at this level, in a great team, under a great coach like Ettore Messina. It's going to be like a university. He clearly has the body and the skillset."
