After Usman Garuba's and Sergio Llull's ankle issues, Spanish national team head coach Sergio Scariolo has now raised concerns about guard Alberto Diaz's injury.

Following an 80-85 overtime loss to Canada, Scariolo revealed that Diaz is dealing with a "knee problem" and is undergoing evaluation by the medical team.

Diaz had a brief 4 minutes and 40 seconds of playtime during Thursday night's match but did not contribute any points. He is set to be one of two Spanish NT point guards in the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 alongside Juan Nunez.

In more positive news, both Garuba and Llull returned to the court in the game against Canada. Garuba posted 10 points in 23 minutes, while Llull added six points during his 10-minute playtime.

Regarding finalizing the 12-man roster, Scariolo emphasized the need for careful consideration to ensure optimal competitiveness.

"The decision-making process involves complex considerations that may not be immediately evident to the people from outside," Scariolo explained.
