Hapoel Holon will play its Basketball Champions League games in Greece, according to an announcement by FIBA.
It was announced on the 1st of November that Hapoel Holon will play its home Basketball Champions League (BCL) games at the Ano Liosia Olympic Stadium, which hosts AEK Athens in both the Greek Basketball League and the Basketball Champions League.
The decision comes after the resumption of the violent conflict between Israeli and Palestinian sides in the region.
According to SDNA.gr, the management of AEK had made the recommendation of relocation, which Hapoel Holon and FIBA accepted.
Furthermore, FIBA decided that all Hapoel Holon games should be played behind closed doors for security reasons.
Israeli basketball teams continue to relocate their home games in European competitions. For example, once again in the BCL, Hapoel Jerusalem also decided to have its home game against Galatasaray Ekmas in Belgrade.
Hapoel Holon will be hosted by Telekom Baskets Bonn on the 1st of November for their first game in the BCL this year.
