How EuroLeague contradicts its own vision?

Following Paulius Motiejunas' interview with BasketNews, we look at the EuroLeague CEO's ideas regarding the competition's scheduling, sharing our thoughts and arguments on why it seems a wrong approach.

Since his days in Zalgiris Kaunas, EuroLeague CEO Paulius Motiejunas constantly sent one message: European basketball must make money.

Such thinking and steps taken toward it allowed him to rack three EuroLeague Executive of the Year awards, and he shared a very similar message in a recent interview with Donatas Urbonas.

"We have to have sustainable clubs. We have to get all together to the place where we come in and grow the market," Motiejunas said.

And it's the right mentality to have. European basketball must start making money. However, one argument Motiejunas made left me puzzled and with many questions.
