The last 20 seconds between Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade and Zalgiris Kaunas lasted for almost 10 minutes. Unfortunately, not for good reasons.

Two referees' decisions at the end of the game caused the local fans' anger, culminating in many objects being thrown on the court.

At first, the referees called an unsportsmanlike foul on Yago dos Santos against Edgaras Ulanovas, and a few moments later, the referees didn't call for a possible backcourt violation by Keenan Evans.

Even though it's undeniably frustrating, there should be no excuses for such behavior. Understandably, Zalgiris players shared a familiar sentiment.

"Personally, I don't like it," Evans openly admitted while talking to BasketNews. "I don't like [when] people disrespect the game. Whether it was a bad, a good call, you know, refs…"

This is a very bad look for a team like Crvena Zvezda that aspires to receive a long-term license in the EuroLeague. Especially when the same problem occurs for the third time in three weeks.

However, Crvena Zvezda already issued a statement that the club is in contact with the competent authorities and will confiscate season tickets from people and prohibit entry to matches organized by the club. Definitely a step in the right direction.
