Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv's player Roman Sorkin got injured during the FIBA EuroBasket Qualifiers window in February. The forward is now closing in on his return to the court.
According to Tomer Givati from Israel Hayom, Sorkin is scheduled to come back to full strength in two weeks. Namely, the Israeli player will begin practicing with full contact in 10 days.
As such, Sorkin will still miss the double week's games against LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and FC Bayern Munich, but his participation in the crucial contest against Valencia Basket is now probable.
Sorkin got hit in the knee by his teammate, Yam Madar, who made a pass to the corner and fell to the floor afterward. Sorkin could be seen grabbing his left knee immediately after the episode.
The 27-year-old forward averages 7.5 points and 3.6 rebounds for 7.4 PIR in the EuroLeague in over 17 minutes of playing time per game.
