Real Madrid star Gabriel Deck suffered an injury after colliding with teammate Guerschon Yabusele.
Bad news may be on the horizon for Real Madrid, as Gabriel Deck was injured in the game against Valencia Basket.
The forward was injured in a collision with his teammate Guerschon Yabusele, who landed on Deck's ankle in the fourth quarter against Valencia. Real lost the game with a score of 99-93.
Deck was helped out of the court by his two teammates.
Real Madrid coach Chus Mateo shed light on Deck's situation in the post-game presser.
"We are worried. It was a bad injury; he sprained his knee. Let's hope it's nothing, but at first glance, he is in a lot of pain and has come out on crutches," Mateo said. "Of course, he won't be there on Sunday," he said, noting that Deck will not play against Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz in another Liga Endesa game.
The extent of Deck's injury is currently unknown. However, a possible absence might have serious consequences for Real Madrid, which will participate in the 2024 EuroLeague Final Four.
Real will face off against Olympiacos Piraeus in the semifinal game on May 24.
