ALBA Berlin have made their first move for the 2024-25 season official, announcing the signing of Australian guard Will McDowell-White on a two-year contract.

McDowell-White, who previously played for the New Zealand Breakers, will join the German team this upcoming summer.

The 26-year-old and 1.96-meter guard returns to Germany after a stint with Brose Bamberg from 2017 to 2019.

"Ever since I played in Bamberg as a teenager, it has always been a small dream of mine to one day play for ALBA," he said. "I'm looking forward to being part of a club that competes for the German championship year after year. ALBA is also known for helping players reach their full potential."

In this season, Mcdowell-White averaged 9.4 points, 4.2 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per game in the NBL.

BasketNews' Orazio Cauchi reported about ALBA's interest in Mcdowell-White on April 22.
