Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana has signed a new coach for the new season in Zvezdan Mitrovic.

According to an announcement from the club, Mitrovic will coach the team for at least the upcoming two seasons: the 2024-25 season and the 2025-26 season.

Cedevita had last signed coach Simone Pianigiani, who posted an abysmal record of 0 regular season wins and 13 losses in the 2023-24 EuroCup season.

After Pianigiani was fired, Cedevita finished the EuroCup season with a 1-17 record under Zoran Martic, who rose to the occasion.

Mitrovic last coached Galatasaray EKMAS Istanbul, which he had taken over before the very end of the 2022-23 season.

Mitrovic was sacked by the Turkish team in 2024 and was replaced by Yakup Sekizkok, the former assistant coach of Anadolu Efes Istanbul and head coach of Darussafaka Lassa Istanbul.
