Mike Tobey has been the last one to be left out of Slovenia's squad ahead of the OQT. Josh Nebo will be the team's only naturalized player in Piraeus.
Slovenia are facing a big challenge, as next week they will try to qualify for the Olympic Games for the second time in a row in Piraeus.
Before they travel to the venue this Sunday, the squad will have its last scrimmage on Friday against Brazil. Luka Doncic will be available, but the same doesn't apply to Mike Tobey.
Following a discussion with head coach Aleksander Sekulic, it was decided that the American-born big man can be excused from the camp. Josh Nebo will wear the Slovenian jersey at the Peace and Friendship Stadium instead.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mike Tobey for his extremely correct attitude and excellent work in practice. He undoubtedly helped the Slovenian national team tremendously in these three weeks," Sekulic said as he bid farewell to one of the roster's two naturalized players.
The new name in the team's coaching staff is Sean Sweeney. The 40-year-old American expert is an established name in the NBA, having been part of the league since 2011. He first worked as a video analyst in New Jersey, and after the club moved to Brooklyn, he became Jason Kidd's assistant. He then moved to Milwaukee, Detroit, and Dallas in 2021. Also returning from Dallas, Marko Milic joined the team as head of the delegation.
After Friday's match vs. Brazil, Slovenia will travel to Piraeus, where they will first face Croatia next Tuesday, and New Zealand two days later.
